Tasting Notes

Colour:  Purple, Crimson Red.

Aromatics: Perfumed nose with florals, rasberry and blackberry fruit and spice.

Palate:  Lovely silky texture with supple red and black fruits.  Fine lingering tannins ensure the wine has excellent length.

Cellaring: Careful cellaring for 5 years or more.

Vineyard Notes

The 2010 vintage produced structured and generous wines, with firm yet fine tannins.

Winemakers Notes

Cabernet Franc is a perfumed and aromatic variety which is known for its firm tannins. We try and achieve a balance between its wonderful perfume, the burst of fruit on the front palate and its fine tannic structure.  The Merlot gives mid palate weight, and the Cabernet adds to the exceptional length and structure of the wine.

Food Pairing

Excellent with a wide range of food.  Greek roast lamb with kipfler potatoes, or a turkish lamb pizza are two stand outs.
