Wines We Make
Our family history of grape growing in South Australia predates the foundation of the Barossa and Clare Valleys with John Harvey who settled in South Australia in 1839.
Now we are in our sixth generation of growing grapes in South Australia, with the last three in McLaren Vale, regarded as one of the finest grape growing regions in the world.
McLaren Vale is unique being so close to the cooling waters of the Gulf of St Vincent, and having a wonderful tapestry of soils that provide great diversity for growing grapes. It has been the mapping of these soil types and an understanding of the topography that allows us to tailor specific varieties to parts of our vineyard. The nurturing of these vines ensures we have a broad pallet of flavours to choose from when we put together our wines, or keep them for a single vineyard wine as part of our special release selection.
