Emmanuelle Requin-Bekkers
French born and trained winemaker, Emmanuelle draws inspiration from her experiences in both France and Australia. Emmanuelle's exposure to the wine of Bandol led to Degrees in Biology and Oenology from the University of Montpellier.
Working for the Hardy's Wine Company in France offered the opportunity of a winemaking position in Australia at both Hardy's Reynella and Tintara wineries. In 2000 she oversaw the design and build of Langhorne Creek Winery and subsequently became Manager/ Senior winemaker of Langhorne Creek and Boars Rock Wineries until 2008.
In 2001 she joined Chalk Hill Wines as winemaker. She spends the Australian vintage in McLaren Vale then returns to France to work in Burgundy, Bordeaux and the Languedoc Roussillon. Emma is also responsible for the creation of "oenologie-requin" a Project Management & Freelance Winemaking company.
